Adult Sunday School
Sunday School is an integral part of Christian development as it gives smaller groups the opportunity to study and discuss God's word with others who are relatively similar in age. There were three adult Sunday school classes at Jackson Park. Currently, Sunday school classes are meeting via Zoom with those who are able to attend. To get more information about these, or to get plugged into a class, send an email to the church office by clicking here.
Disciple Bible Study
The Disciple Bible study classes are offered occasionally to Jackson Park members and visitors who want to dive deep into studying the Bible with others. Each study series ranges in length, and as a group, students learn Biblical- based Christ-like character and strengthen their personal relationship with Jesus. It is also a wonderful fellowship opportunity for new Jackson Park visitors and members to get acquainted with a small group of people diverse in backgrounds and walks of life. To know more about these classes, contact Larry Farmer or Mike Lambert.
Music Ministry
The music ministry at Jackson Park exists solely to assist God's people in praise and worship through the power of music. The main contributor to the music ministry is the group Adoration, which covers many contemporary Christian songs for worship services at Jackson Park. The group was initially founded in 2002, and continues to be active in Jackson Park and the surrounding North Carolina area. The music ministry at Jackson Park also does some alternative and choral pieces, generally leading to and during the major Christian calendar holidays. There are many volunteers that go into propelling the music ministry at Jackson Park. To get involved or to know more, please email Tyler Miller by clicking here.
Missions / Outreach Ministry
Jackson Park United Methodist is continuously involved in mission work such as collecting food for the Cooperative Christian Ministry Pantry, working at the Rowan Helping Ministries homeless shelter, providing free Festivals for the Community, and supporting both UMC Missionaries and the United Methodist University in Africa. Many of our members have also taken part in Medical Mission Trips, Building Team Mission Trips, and Bible School Mission Trips. Our Missions is led by Kim Roberts.
