Worship during Coronavirus Updates:
Update A: Feb. 2021
Indoor gatherings of more than ten people have been postponed through the month of February. For now, please join us either online on Facebook or in the north parking lot off of Jackson Street on February 14th at 11 AM for a drive-in worship service. Drive-in cars will be given a frequency to tune their FM radio.
Please be mindful: Masks are required for congregants who leave their cars. Social distancing guidelines are still in practice.
Update AA: Feb. 2021
We will continue to have drive-in services at 11 AM and online services provided at 10 AM on our FaceBook page. Currently, the plan is to return to indoor gatherings in the sanctuary on Easter Sunday, April 4. An email will be sent out this week to those who are subscribed to our mail service asking for congregational input on the safety precautions needed for families to attend. In-person service quantities and times will be determined as gathering estimates and data of that matter is collected. No matter the responses, the guidelines bellow have been adopted.
-Masks must be worn at all times. The only exception is for singers in the praise band (no more than 3 each week) and the pastor who are allowed to take their masks off while singing/preaching.
-Vocal musicians must be at least 25 feet from the congregation they're singing in front of.
-Social distancing will also be monitored. Families are encouraged to stagger on an 'every other pew' basis.
-Only households/families should be seated together.
-Temperature checks are required for all upon entering for worship.
-Registration is required (name given) for all in attendance.
-Congregational singing is not permitted.

Administrative response to Coronavirus Updates:
Passed on 2/4/21, effective immediately:
While this is certainly not a decision that the Jackson Park Ad Council wants to pass and enforce, we believe that this will help keep others safe, and we look forward to do a day when face coverings or masks or serve no vitality for indoor gatherings.
- Anyone who enters Jackson Park UMC's indoor facilities or other church property must properly wear a face covering the entire time they are occupying the building.
- The only exception to this are staff members who are working alone in their offices, or drive-in participants while they are seated in their cars.
